SOPRA-ISO insulation panels, designed to offer improved thermal resistance, are manufactured at our state-of-the-art LEED® Gold-certified facility.

OVERVIEW OF SOPRA-ISO

SOPRA-ISO polyisocyanurate insulation panels are 4 ft × 4 ft or 4 ft × 8 ft and are available in two versions: SOPRA-ISO and SOPRA-ISO PLUS.

  • Regular SOPRA-ISO is a closed-cell polyisocyanurate foam insulation board laminated with a glass-fibre-reinforced organic facer.
  • SOPRA-ISO PLUS is a closed-cell polyisocyanurate foam insulation board laminated with a polymer-coated glass fibre facer.

 The many benefits of polyisocyanurate insulation panels, like a high R-value, make this product an advantageous solution when designing an efficient roof assembly.

GREAT THERMAL EFFICIENCY

The R-value of polyisocyanurate is the highest of all traditional roof insulation (R-5.7), resulting in a thin, but highly efficient roof system. Polyisocyanurate insulation panels are actually one of the most thermally efficient insulation products on the market.

EXCELLENT DIMENSIONAL STABILITY

Given their excellent dimensional stability, SOPRA-ISO panels preserve their initial dimensions when used in a roof system, which helps to prevent the formation of thermal bridges that could reduce the energy efficiency of the building.

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE TEMPERATURE

Polyisocyanurate is generally considered to be the most effective thermal insulation product on the market, with an outstanding operating temperature range of -99 °F to 252 °F (-73 °C to 122 °C), allowing hot bitumen applications.

SHIPLAP EDGES:
AN INNOVATION BY SOPREMA

The shiplap edges of SOPREMA panels make installation faster and safer.

SAVING TIME AND MONEY

Shiplap edges allow the panels to overlap and lock in place, ensuring there is no gap between them and thus minimizing the risk of air or water leaks.

For a 50,000 ft2 surface with a team of four, SOPREMA estimates a saving of 5 minutes per person per 100 ft2. The installation of the shiplap panels is thus almost twice as fast as that of panels with straight edges.
